Temperature measurement problems with reactor thermocouple assemblies were reported during 2007 at one Magnox Power Station. Various investigations were initiated by the supply chain, but the root cause was not fully identified. It was therefore decided to collate all of the various test results from equipment suppliers and site, and to initiate an integrated investigation into the problem.
We produced a report collating the previous test results, and incorporating key manufacturing data, including a history of the constituent materials used in the manufacture of the thermocouple assemblies.
